High-Value Balanced Utilization of High-Abundance Rare Earths and Green Low-Carbon Economy Forum Successfully Held at 2023 International Conference on Industry-Academia-Research-Application Cooperation
From November 3 to 5, 2023, the High-Value Balanced Utilization of Abundant Rare Earths and Green Low-Carbon Economy Forum, a sub-forum of the International Conference on Industry-Academia-Research-Application Cooperation, was held in Nanchang. The forum was hosted by the School Planning and Development Center of the Ministry of Education, organized by the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province and Nanchang University, and co-organized by the Chinese Society of Rare Earths and the China Rare Earth Industry Association.
Under the theme of Diversified Cooperation, Openness and Win-Win Results, the forum brought together nearly 200 participants, including experts and scholars from Russia, Belarus, the Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Chinese mainland and Hong Kong SAR, enterprise executives from Jiangxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong and Shanghai, as well as students from the Rare Earth Experimental Class of Nanchang University. The participants focused on the technological system for the high-value balanced utilization of abundant rare earths, discussed solutions to key technical difficulties, and supported the development of energy-saving, emission-reduction, green and low-carbon economy.
Ge Gang, Vice President of Nanchang University, Academician Zhang Hongjie of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Li Bo, President of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Li Yongxiu, Director of the Rare Earth Research Institute of Nanchang University.
